| Con Edison will soon be adding to the steadily expanding look of the South Bronx with the construction of new substation at the former site of the Farberware Plant on Bruckner Boulevard. Upon its completion, the site will be able to sustain 245 megawatts of power. Demolition of the old building on the property began in January, and construction of the new substation is slated to begin by the middle of this month. The target date for completion is May 2007. | |
