Intrepid Museum Pedestrian Bridge NYSDOT This $11.5 million project, which transports pedestrians over the Joe DiMaggio Highway to the many waterfront attractions in the area between West 34th and West 57th Street along the Hudson River. The bridge is 287 feet long, with the central tower rising 59 feet above the roadway. The bridge required tight tolerances due to its cable-stayed design and the coordination required with the Route 9A project, which constructed the footings for the bridge under a previous contract. |
