Garden State provided horizontal and vertical control, quantity surveys, settlement monitoring and construction layout for this $76 million project. Major project concerns include traffic in and around Rutgers University, close proximity to residential areas, fish spawning timetables in Metlars Brook, and the presence of an archeological site, which could delay progress in the event of unexpected finds. Six bridges and several feeder/connector roads into the Rutgers Campus were part of the overall survey layout.
